What self-levelling overlays actually is.
A cementitious overlay poured across a slab that is too uneven, too patched or too worn to coat directly. It is rarely the finished floor: it is the step that makes a finished floor possible, and it is the honest answer when somebody has been quoted a coating over a slab that cannot take one.
Where we are the right call
- Slabs with dishing, ponding or significant patch history
- Floors where old tile or adhesive has left an uneven surface
- Fit-outs where a new floor covering needs a flat base
- Anywhere a coating alone would simply follow the existing profile
