Patio & pool deck coating
Textured, UV-stable coatings for patios, porches and pool surrounds that survive a New England winter.
What patios & pool decks actually is.
An exterior-rated textured system for concrete that spends four months a year frozen. The specification differs from an interior floor in three ways that matter: it has to be UV stable, it has to stay walkable when wet, and it has to tolerate water freezing in and under it without delaminating.
Where we are the right call
- Pool surrounds, patios, porches and walkways
- Concrete that is sound but tired, where replacement is not warranted
- Surfaces that need to be safe underfoot when wet
Where we will tell you something else
- Slabs with heavy spalling or structural cracking
- Surfaces that pond and have no drainage fall
- Winter installation — this is warm-season work
What it is rated for.
| Build thickness | 20–30 mils with a textured broadcast |
|---|---|
| Surface preparation | Diamond grinding to CSP 2–3, with spalled areas repaired first |
| UV stability | UV-stable topcoat as standard. A standard epoxy clear will amber outdoors within a season |
| Freeze–thaw | Specified for New England cycling. Drainage and edge detailing matter as much as the product |
| Slip resistance | Textured broadcast as standard — a pool surround is specified for bare wet feet |
| Season | Installed in the warm months. Exterior work in deep winter does not cure reliably and we will not book it |
| Warranty | Written workmanship warranty, terms by system |
Four stages, and you know when you get the space back.
Site assessment
We walk the building, test the slab for moisture and dew point, review chemical exposure and agree the shutdown window. You get a written scope, not a number on a card.
On site, no obligationPreparation
Diamond grinding or shot blasting to profile, crack and joint repair, and HEPA extraction so the rest of the building stays open.
Dust contained · CSP 2–3Installation
Base coat, broadcast and topcoat, phased by bay or zone. Overnight and weekend work where production cannot stop.
Phased by zoneReturn to service
Foot traffic the following morning, vehicles and racking the day after. Cold slabs cure slower and we tell you the real number.

Can you install in winter?
The last coating failed. Why would this be different?
What does a site assessment involve?
Let us come and measure it.
We look at the slab, test it for moisture, and give you a real figure for your floor rather than a price per square foot over the phone. No obligation.
